What's with the 'tude, dude?
Surfing around YouTube, I found this video with Chuck Colson, Greg Boyd, and Shane Claiborne. What strikes me is that though Shane does not come out and say "It's OK to be gay" his approach to the issue is strikingly different than Chuck Colson's, who immediately associates being gay with AIDS and then dismisses the observation that Christians are described as anti-gay above all else.
I feel drawn to hear more of Shane's thoughts, my stomach turned as Chuck carried on at the end of the video.

As much as I can't stand Colson, at least he is honest. I think Claiborne is honest as well. Boyd takes both sides of it and agree with everything without any understanding or clarity. He agrees with Colson that it is clearly "unnatural" and also agree with Claiborne that we need to "Love gay people". Boyd also uses the word "them" repeatedly which is a boundary term.
The question still remains for either Boyd or Colson and I have not heard an adequate response yet: can a happy gay couple receive the love of Christ? Because it happens all the time and the evidence is clear, I love gay people in the midst of their sexuality and not in spite of it. That is the only role I think Christians can take and have integrity with the Gospel.
Thanks for chiming in Drew. I appreciate that you pointed out the use of "them" as a boundary term. I'm not sure I picked up on that specifically myself.
