A Brief Introduction

Endeavoring to define myself outside of a "job title." I'm a nomad of sorts who fell in love with technology, activism, and helping others. I run a web & media consulting firm, have a blog specifically for activists & non-profits, and travel often. I love talking about theology, politics, and social change. I love doing something about it even more. I also like to be a well-rounded and fully present person. That's why I write here. Connect with me on twitter

New Beginnings

Effective December 13, 2006 I am no longer a student at the University of Southern California. In a surreal moment I transitioned from "student" to "alum"--I still haven't quite gotten used to it.

It's now a time when I get to experience the old adage "when one door closes, another one opens." My friend and fellow filmmaker Dave O'Brien recently directed a documentary entitled Equality U which followed the 2006 Equality Riders across the country as they visited conservative Christian universities which have policies discriminating against GLBT individuals. As it turns out, the Equality Ride is back for 2007 edition and thanks to a tip from Meilee, I have decided to join them on their journey. More to come I'm sure, but for now, here is a clip from the documentary:
